Lindera melissifolia/Pondberry/Southern Spicebush
8 X 8”

Lindera melissifolia/Pondberry/Southern Spicebush Pondberry has always been a rare species, but due to human activity, its natural habitats have dwindled and this species is in peril. It can be found in some shallow wetlands in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Each piece from this body of work depicts a different endangered wild plant species, and my intent is to bring awareness to this important and immediate issue.
