Many years ago, we dreamed of making a book about our great great Aunt Ruth Muskrat. Today, we are honored to announce that we will bring her long-overdue story out of obscurity and into the light, as a picture book biography. We love that children will be the audience for this story of hope. Ruth lived a life of truth, resilience, and strength, and worked tirelessly to lift up Native Americans. She was a brave Cherokee woman, a poet, and an activist. Ruth, we stand on your shoulders! A big thank you to our publisher @levinequerido for believing in this book, to Ruth’s relatives who also hold her story, and to our Mom and our Granny for being our family historians. Publication set for Fall 2026. In observance of Women’s History Month, we celebrate Ruth Muskrat!

Studio time is a chance to commune with the creati

Studio time is a chance to commune with the creative collective. It’s a space where ideas are not mine alone but come from a shared sentient place. And when I can allow myself to tune in to this creative channel, it feels like going home. If I can get quiet enough and listen, I have the opportunity to attend something ancient and timeless. By welcoming the stories that want to be told I become a storytelling vessel. On a good day, it can be freeing and weightless, with no ownership of the outcome. My only obligation is to show up ✨
