After we’ve gone trough the murky depths of grief, we emerge transformed. Though we would never invite despair into our homes, it can be our ally in the end. And, it has a way of working on us, when we are unknowing. From the depths we arrive with new vision, and sometimes profoundly clear sight. And… if we’re lucky, Divine magic is the gift we take away. “From Cinders” describes my experience witnessing grief this past year.

In Cherokee culture ravens represent the good luck that follows danger.
