Hello! I’m Rebecca Lee Kunz, the artist and owner

Hello! I’m Rebecca Lee Kunz, the artist and owner of Tree of Life Studio. In 2007, when I was pregnant with my first daughter, I started my business and committed myself to my creative practice. 19 years later, through twists and turns, my life has evolved beyond my imagination. My husband and I now have three daughters, a giant labradoodle, and live under a blanket of stars in the foothills of Santa Fe. Compassion and care are the fabric of my community. I give thanks every day that I am supported in my creative path, and don’t take it for granted. I know that through isolation, we become disempowered. Indeed, our connection is our greatest weapon!

I believe that artists are leading the revolution. I believe in intentional slow living, and I believe in kindness. I believe that art is an expression of the Divine. I believe that creativity is a human impulse, and I believe it has the power to heal. I believe that there is a bottomless well of creativity that we all have access to and share. It is deep and vast and never-ending. I’ll meet you there.

What an honor to win the 2026 American Indian Youth Literature Award, alongside Andrea L Rogers, for our book Chooch Helped! Never would I have predicted that two golden stickers would adorn this cover. Erin O’Neill @eringrowinghome conceived and designed the concept for this planting calendar, which is the culmination of 20 years of close observation and care that she brings to her garden and her work as a garden educator. And, I hand carved the block print and painted the watercolor art, making for a wonderful collaboration between two dear friends who have a shared love for growth and beauty.

The perpetual growing guide is a map to mentor you through your growing year. Printed on a watercolor textured 30% recycled card stock, this 12 x 12” perpetual calendar is a work of art ready to gift. It can be purchased with or without the wooden hanging kit.
