Selu Monument made it to its home to the Cherokee Cultural Pathway in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on May 21st, 2024.

100+ hours of love and labor went into this sculpture, which was only possible because of the support and love of my family.

A big thank you to Zach Greer for his steel welding expertise in making the armature for this sculpture. And, a very special thank you to my tribe, The Cherokee Nation, for believing in my art and for providing positive opportunities for its artists and citizens.

Selu Monument is dedicated to Selu, the mythical priestess and first woman on Earth. Through her acts, Selu restored balance and ensured that humans will not go hungry if they live in harmony with Nature.

Stay tuned to The Cherokee Nation to learn about upcoming events at the Cultural Pathway.
